Job Summary:
The Apprentice Construction Manager/Site Supervisor will assist the Construction Managers on larger projects, to key performance indicators (KPIs) on cost and programme; and manage small size projects and works packages.
Key Responsibilities:

Supports the Construction manager in overall running of the construction site, including monitoring the planning and co-ordination of site works delegated to them.

Reports to the Construction Manager on all elements related to the construction, programme of works and any potential cost or progress issues.

Assists in monitoring and auditing planned vs actual data for all works within their area, knowing when to escalate to the Construction manager where deviation from the Plan is evident.

Assists in the management of the quality assurance process, including inspections, snagging and handover.

Attends regular subcontractor meetings discussing safety, production, and quality.

Monitors, audits and ensures works are carried out in accordance with the RAMS (Risk Assessment Method Statement);

Supports the site personnel during the execution of the works; and ensures that the area is clear once works are completed.

Produces and maintains daily record of progress of all construction activities on site (including personnel attendances, safety issues and constraints).

Establishing key relationships with the trade contractors, setting up clear lines of communication to coordinate labour and help address issues that may arise

Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
Technical skills and Competencies:

Developing knowledge of relevant construction methodology and processes, associated with scope of works.

Provides input to resolving problems, identifying, solving challenges.

Developing knowledge of the Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HS&W) regulations and standards and other relevant legislation pertaining to the scope of works.

The ability to write reports keeping accurate records of incidents, issues and labour and plant resources.

Qualifications, Certifications and Experience:

GCSE in Maths and English, grade 5-9.

2 A levels at grade C or above
