Due to increased operational demand, we're looking for an experienced Class 2 HGV Driver to join our transport team.
This is a varied operational driving role and not a traditional trunking or tramping position. Our drivers carry out planned collections from customers across mainland UK, representing the business professionally while working safely and compliantly.
Depending on operational requirements, you may be required to drive a range of company vehicles, including HGV, rigid vehicles, 7.5 tonne vehicles and vans.
The role
You'll be responsible for:
- Completing planned collections and deliveries of hazardous waste throughout mainland UK.
- Operating company vehicles safely and professionally.
- Driving a range of fleet vehicles depending on operational requirements.
- Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks and defect reporting.
- Loading and unloading materials safely.
- Completing transport documentation accurately.
- Providing excellent customer service whilst representing the business.
- Supporting warehouse activities where required.
- Maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.
Essential requirements
- Full UK Category C (Class 2) driving licence.
- Valid Driver CPC.
- Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous commercial driving experience.
- Good understanding of Drivers' Hours Regulations.
- Flexible approach to nationwide travel and occasional overnight stays.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Desirable
- ADR Licence (strongly preferred).
- Candidates without ADR will still be considered and may be supported to obtain the qualification.
- Forklift Licence.
- Experience within waste management, hazardous goods, recycling or industrial logistics.

Additional information
- 6:00am starts. Can be discussed.
- 40-hour working week.
- Most planned routes are between 8 and 10 hours, with statutory driver breaks built into the day.

- Initial 3-month fixed-term contract with the opportunity to become permanent, subject to business requirements.
