Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Joiner/Carpenter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and joinery, with experience in various aspects of building and fabrication. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, including residential, commercial, and specialised construction tasks. Duties
- Fabricate, assemble, and install bespoke wooden structures and fixtures using hand tools and power tools
- Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure precise execution of projects
- Construct frameworks for roofing, flooring, walls, and other structural elements
- Perform joinery tasks such as fitting doors, windows, cabinets, and mouldings with accuracy
- Assist with heavy lifting and manoeuvring of materials on-site to ensure smooth workflow
- Conduct construction painting where required to finish surfaces professionally
- Carry out basic plumbing or masonry tasks as needed for integrated building projects
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment to uphold health and safety standards
Experience
- Proven experience in carpentry or joinery within the construction or renovation sectors
- Proficiency with hand tools such as chisels, saws, hammers, and measuring devices
- Familiarity with power tools including drills, sanders, saws, and routers
- Knowledge of fabrication techniques for customised woodwork and joinery solutions
- Experience working on roofing projects or with roofing materials is advantageous
- Ability to undertake heavy lifting safely and efficiently during project tasks
- Basic understanding of electrical systems or plumbing is desirable but not essential
- Previous experience in construction painting or masonry will be considered a plus

Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
