Senior Bar Supervisor
Garnant Golf Club is seeking an experienced, professional, and customer-focused Senior Bar Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operation of the club bar and hospitality services.
Key Responsibilities
Bar Operations
· Manage the daily operation of the clubhouse bar service.
· Ensure the bar is fully stocked, clean, and presented to a high standard at all times.
· Maintain effective stock control, including ordering, receiving deliveries and stock rotation.
· Monitor sales and identify opportunities to increase revenue and member satisfaction.
· Ensure all cash handling, till operations, and end-of-day reconciliations are completed accurately.
Customer Service
· Deliver exceptional customer service to members, visitors, and guests alike.
· Create and maintain a friendly and welcoming clubhouse environment.
· Handle customer enquirers, feedback, and complaints professionally and efficiently.
· Build positive relationships with our members and encourage repeat visits and participation in club events.
Staff Management
· Supervise, train, and support bar staff and casual employees.
· Prepare staff rotas to ensure appropriate coverage during peak periods, competitions, and events.
· Monitor staff performance and promote high standards of service and professionalism.
· Assist in recruitment and induction of new team members where required.
Compliance & Health and Safety
· Ensure compliance with all licensing laws and responsible alcohol service requirements.
· Maintain food hygiene, health and safety, and fire safety standards within the clubhouse.
· Conduct regular checks to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers.
· Ensure all relevant records and documentation are maintained accurately.
Events & Hospitality
· Coordinate bar and hospitality services for club competitions, functions, celebrations, and corporate events.
· Work closely with club management and committees to support social events and member engagement activities.
· Assist with planning and delivering special promotions and seasonal events.
Essential Requirements
· Previous experience in a senior bar, hospitality, or clubhouse management role.
· Strong knowledge of licensed premises operations and stock control.
· Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
· Experience supervising and motivating a team.
· Good financial awareness, including cash handling and budgeting.
· Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
· Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
· Personal Licence Holder (or willingness to obtain one).
· Food Hygiene Certificate.
· First Aid qualification.
· Experience working within a golf club, sports club, or members' organization.
· Knowledge of cellar management and draught beer systems.
