We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Workshop alloy wheel refurbishment Technician to join our team. This hands-on role will primarily involve working in the back of the workshop, sanding down and prepping wheels for refurbishment ready to paint, in addition to tyre fitting when needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sanding and prepping wheels for refurbishment
- Removing and refitting wheels from vehicles
- Mounting, balancing, and installing tyres
- Powder coating and assisting with the diamond cutting process
- Inspecting tyres and wheels for damage and wear
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace
- Working to deadlines and occasionally performing overtime to meet urgent customer needs
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Strong attention to detail and pride in high-quality work
- Previous tyre fitting experience (preferred)
- Experience working in a powder coating or alloy wheel refurbishment environment (advantageous)
- General experience working on cars is beneficial
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand and power tools
- Willingness to learn and take on various tasks within the workshop
- Flexibility to adapt to a busy, deadline-driven workplace
Candidate Must Be:
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to work well under pressure
- Comfortable with physical work, including lifting and standing for long periods
- Occasionally available for overtime, including occasional weekends
