We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Social Workers to help deliver and lead good quality care and represent adult social care within the integrated neighbourhood teams. You will be responsible for promoting Blackburn with Darwen’s vision, objectives and priorities effectively to our staff, partners and the public, and supporting the Department and residents on our continuous journey to ‘Outstanding’.
The post holder will be required to:-
- Be a qualified and registered Social Worker with Social Work England
- You should have a passion for working in partnership with local people to promote a strength-based approach and provide assessment, care and support to the residents of the borough
- Deliver a high standard of evidenced based interventions and have responsibility for own case load
- Be highly motivated, with attention to detail.
- Be flexible, have initiative and professional curiosity
- Advocate to ensure that people receive the right support, in the right place and at the right time.
- Through our neighbourhood model enable access to advice and services tailored to meet their needs.
- Instil a culture of person-centred practice, as defined by 'Making Safeguarding Personal' embedded in a confident learning environment supported by effective supervision and appraisal
- Embed in practice the 6 key principles which underpin all Safeguarding Adult work as defined by the Care Act 2014, the requirements of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Blackburn with Darwen’s multi agency policies and procedures for safeguarding adults at risk
- Promote independence, dignity and respect for all people and carers who receive services.
Dependent on experience, this role is - Grade G £35,412 to £39, 152/ Grade H £39,862 to £44,075, please review the attachments for more information.
The available posts include : -
1 FTE permanent experienced social worker – 33hrs weekly
2 x 12 month Fixed term contract – to assist the integrated neighbourhood team to meet the demands of the service as we embed our new way of working in the 3 conversations model and Statutory duties for safeguarding adults.
