Role-specific Duties:
The Maintenance/Handyperson’s responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
· Assist in the assessment of the effectiveness of maintenance implementation and delivery
· Implement actions to meet and maintain maintenance standards
· Systematically solve day-to-day problematical issues which arise
· Ensure the service users’ rights are protected
· Be responsible for promoting and protecting the welfare of those individuals supported by the service
Working with Others:
· Develop effective working relationships with the other employees within the service
· Be involved in the implementation and maintenance of the service’s quality assurance programme
· Cooperate with the implementation, evaluation, orientation and induction of all new employees
Other Duties:

Personal and Professional Development:
· Attend statutory training and any other training as directed by management
· Take responsibility for your own professional development through performance and development reviews and undertake any relevant training
· To maintain maintenance skills at a current level and undertake such training and development as may, from time-to-time, be required in order to maintain up-to-date knowledge
