Role Overview:
As an Engineer, you will be responsible for visiting client sites across the country to deliver and install cutting-edge VoIP solutions. You will provide on-site and remote support to clients, assisting with technical challenges and ensuring their communication systems run smoothly post-installation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, and implement customized VoIP solutions tailored to client requirements.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot VoIP hardware and software (IP phones, routers, switches, servers).
- Provide ongoing technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for VoIP systems, promptly addressing any issues.
- Monitor VoIP network performance, optimising call quality and system reliability as needed.
- Ensure compliance with security and data privacy standards, including the implementation of encryption and access controls.
- Document VoIP configurations, network diagrams, and installation processes.
- Train clients and end-users on VoIP system features and functionality.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven experience with VoIP system installation, configuration, and support.
- Strong understanding of VoIP protocols, codecs, and SIP.
- Knowledge of network protocols and LAN/WAN infrastructure, including routers and switches.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Certifications such as CCNA or VoIP-specific credentials are advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
