Job Overview
I am seeking compassionate and proactive Personal Assistants/Carers to provide dedicated support an elderly woman in her daily live. This role involves assisting with personal care, managing household tasks, and ensuring the well-being and comfort of this individual. Your energy, communication skills, and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in her quality of life. The ideal candidates will be enthusiastic about delivering personalized care, capable of using your own initiative, and confident in a home care environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily personal care routines such as washing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Support individuals in adhering to their tailored care plans, including medication reminders and health monitoring
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Manage household tasks such as meal preparation, light cleaning, and shopping errands
- Drive clients to appointments, social activities, or outings using a suitable vehicle
- Maintain clear communication with family members, healthcare professionals, and team members regarding care needs and progress
- Document care activities accurately using IT systems and ensure compliance with care home or home care protocols
Experience
- Previous experience in a home care is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with clients and team members
- Valid driving license with experience in safe driving practices
- Familiarity with creating or following care plans tailored to individual needs
- Proficiency in using documentation and reporting purposes
- Ability to demonstrate empathy, patience, and excellent interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to personal assistance roles
