Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Grill Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality grilled dishes, ensuring consistency and excellence in every plate. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of grilled dishes according to recipes and customer specifications
- Ensure all food is prepared efficiently, accurately, and to the highest quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grill station and surrounding work areas
- Follow food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
- Assist in meal preparation during busy periods to support the kitchen team
- Monitor stock levels of ingredients and notify management when supplies need replenishing
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines, including proper handling of equipment and utensils
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a grill chef within a restaurant setting
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, especially grilling methods
- Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene regulations
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members
- Previous experience serving or interacting with customers is advantageous but not essential
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required
- Assist with cleaning duties at the end of each shift, including sanitising surfaces and equipment
