Housekeeper
We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and hardworking Housekeeper to join our small, friendly team at Hilltop Outdoor Centre.
As part of our housekeeping team, you will play an important role in ensuring that our accommodation and communal areas are clean, comfortable and welcoming for our customers and staff.

The role suits someone who takes pride in their work, has good attention to detail and enjoys working as part of a team. We work to high standards and need someone who can take a proactive approach and work efficiently, particularly when preparing the centre for our visiting groups.
Working Hours
Work is generally carried out on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 9.00am and 3.00pm. Some weekend working and flexibility around these hours will occasionally be required.
Hilltop primarily caters for schools during term time. We operate an annualised hours scheme, which provides greater flexibility around working hours during most school holidays. Our existing employees find this arrangement particularly useful.
Key Duties
- Thoroughly clean designated areas, including bedrooms / bathrooms, communal areas and other facilities, ensuring consistently high standards of hygiene and presentation.
- Dust, vacuum, mop and sanitise surfaces as required.
- Ensure rooms and communal areas are clean, tidy, well organised and welcoming.
- Wash, fold and organise laundry, bedding and other items as required.
- Maintain and restock cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and in accordance with relevant procedures.
- Identify and report maintenance issues, damage or other concerns promptly.
- Follow all Hilltop health and safety procedures and contribute to maintaining a safe environment for customers and colleagues.
- Work efficiently and proactively to complete cleaning duties within the time available.

Training & Support
Full initial training is provided, together with ongoing support and refresher training to ensure you are confident and fully equipped to carry out your role.
Successful applicants will be required to provide an Enhanced DBS disclosure. Hilltop Outdoor Centre will meet the cost of the disclosure.
