We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our team. Responsibilities
- Diagnose faults and perform repairs on machinery and equipment using appropriate tools and techniques
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and maintenance documentation
- Conduct routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively during repairs and assembly
- Assist with the assembly, installation, and commissioning of new machinery or components
- Perform heavy lifting as required to move or position equipment safely
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing operational issues promptly and professionally
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar role with mechanical knowledge of industrial or automotive equipment
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical diagrams
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques
- Strong understanding of maintenance procedures and equipment repair processes
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Previous experience in customer service is advantageous but not essential
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in mechanical engineering or related fields are desirable
