Previously operating as Microsearch Laboratories, we now trade as ifp-labs UK West Yorkshire Limited. We are a UKAS accredited laboratory that has been providing analytical services to the food industry for over 30 years. We are a fast-growing company comprising of five separate laboratories based across two sites.
We are looking for a candidate to join our Housekeeping team on a permanent basis. The position is for all aspects of housekeeping and bottle washing. Housekeeping duties are primarily industrial style, heavy duty cleaning of laboratory spaces, as well as maintaining cleanliness in office areas and shared communal spaces.
Duties will include:
· Daily cleaning duties - cleaning of laboratory floors and laboratory areas in preparation for the lab staff arriving. Emptying the bins, Sweeping, and mopping floors, vacuuming, wiping, and sanitising work surfaces within the staff rest facilities, canteens, offices and the laboratories.
· Cleaning down the incubators and fridges.
· Washing all dirty glassware to achieve a plentiful supply for the preparation laboratory.
· Monthly cleaning duties - cleaning of air conditioning units, inside cupboards and draws, ceilings and walls.
· Any other cleaning duties.
The suitable candidate needs to be reliable, punctual and capable of working off their own initiative with a degree of flexibility. Applicants must be hardworking, motivated and energetic. Candidates should consider this is a manual position.
Available hours are Monday to Friday, 4am to 8am. Some overtime may be required, which is paid at basic rate.
Rate of Pay: £8.71 - £12.71 - dependent on age.
Unspent criminal convictions required to be declared at application.
