Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our dental practice team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene within the practice, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for both staff and patients. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in commercial cleaning, janitorial duties, or hospital environments to utilise their skills in a specialised healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning and disinfection of waiting areas, bathrooms, and communal spaces in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Ensure all surfaces, equipment, and furniture are sanitised effectively to minimise infection risk.
- Manage waste disposal safely and efficiently, adhering to clinical waste protocols.
- Restock supplies such as hand sanitiser, paper towels, and other consumables as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of sterilisation areas and ensure compliance with infection control procedures.
- Follow established cleaning schedules and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
- Use appropriate cleaning products and equipment to achieve optimal hygiene standards.
Experience
- Prior experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is highly desirable.
- Experience working within a hospital or healthcare environment is advantageous but not essential.
- Knowledge of infection control procedures and clinical cleaning standards is preferred.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
This role provides an essential service within our dental practice, contributing directly to patient safety and comfort through high-quality cleaning standards. The ideal candidate will be reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a hygienic environment in line with healthcare regulations.
Hours:
Monday to Friday (after 6.00pm)
2.5 hours each evening
