Plasterer / Multi Trader - Full Time Self Employed
Ward Property Services are looking for an experienced self-employed Plastering Multi Trader to carry out plastering, damp proofing, reactive maintenance and planned property repairs across Sutton and the surrounding areas (no Central London work).
Plastering and damp proofing will form a key part of the role, alongside general multi-trade maintenance works including basic carpentry, plumbing and decorating.
This is a varied role working within occupied residential and managed properties, so applicants must be reliable, professional, take pride in their workmanship and be comfortable working independently.independently.
Skills & Experience Required
Essential
- Plasterboarding
- Bonding
- Skimming
- Patch plastering and making good
- Rendering
- Damp proofing and associated remedial works
- Basic carpentry, including fitting/replacing skirting boards and architraves
- General property maintenance and repair work
- Good fault-finding and problem-solving ability
- Experience working within occupied residential properties
- Experience carrying out reactive maintenance works
Desirable
- Basic plumbing, including removing and refitting radiators where required
- Painting and decorating
- Basic coving
- Experience across other general property maintenance trades
Requirements
- Own van and tools essential (cars not suitable)
- Full UK driving licence
- CIS registered
- Able to work independently and manage your own workload
- Good fault-finding and problem-solving ability
- Clean and tidy workmanship
- Reliable and punctual
- Friendly and flexible attitude
- Good communication skills with tenants, clients and office staff
- Must be confident using a smartphone/mobile app to receive job details, provide job updates, upload photos, complete worksheets/forms, and communicate with the office whilst on site

- £180–£220 per day depending on experience (less CIS deduction)
