Use your clinical experience in a
rewarding, non-clinical role where you’ll assess how a person’s health condition or disability affects their
daily living, mobility or ability to work.
You’ll conduct assessments by
phone and face-to-face, review medical evidence and use your clinical knowledge to produce clear, objective reports for the
Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).

What Will You Be Doing?
Depending on the pathway you join, you’ll:
- Conduct PIP or WCA assessments via phone and face-to-face
- Explore how health conditions affect daily living, mobility or ability to work
- Review medical evidence and health questionnaires
- Use your clinical knowledge to assess functional ability
- Produce accurate, clear and objective reports for the DWP
No Functional Assessment Experience? No Problem.
You’ll receive a
comprehensive 12-week training programme to give you everything you need to succeed, including assessment techniques, DWP guidelines and professional report writing.
Who Can Apply?
We’re looking for healthcare professionals with:
- NMC, HCPC or GPhC registration
- Registered Nurses – RGN, RMN, RNLD
- Occupational Therapists
- Physiotherapists
- Paramedics – PIP pathway
- Pharmacists – PIP pathway
- At least 1 year of recent post-registration experience in a relevant adult setting
- Strong communication and assessment skills
- Good typing, report-writing and IT skills
- Full UK Right to Work – sponsorship is not available
