This is initially a nine-month fixed term contract (FTC) for maternity cover, which may be extended and could lead to a permanent role for the right candidate.
Supporting the Sourcing Team but ultimately reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will be required to work within a small team responsible for issuing and collating supplier RFQ’s and quotations.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Ensure all client RFQ’s received from the Customer Service Team are issued to the correct vendors in a timely manner, paying close attention to the Brand List within SAP.
Show good analytical expertise in prioritising and assessing vendor quotations with the subsequent selection of preferred offers based on sound business acumen, noting not only price but also product availability, as well as additional commercial terms.
Ensure the inputting and updating of data relating to supplier PQT’s is undertaken comprehensively and correctly, in order that all relevant content is readily and clearly visible on SAP.
Always Support Sourcing Team Lead, in ensuring both departmental and external KPI’s are achieved on a regular and ongoing basis.
Work in conjunction with both Customer Service and Procurement Teams to ensure the business needs of the end users are satisfied consistently and effectively.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Ability to work under pressure given tight timescales and expectations from clients.
- Good verbal and writing skills, ensuring professional dialogue with vendors is conducted at all times.
- Must be able to work both as part of a team but also autonomously when required.
- Can demonstrate sound commercial awareness and rationalise subsequent decision making.
- Attention to detail and accuracy when handling figures, SKU’s and pricing data
Has a high level of computer literacy with the following packages
- Word
- Excel
- Outlook (Office365)
- PowerPoint (desirable)
This is a hybrid set up with three days in the office, two from home, following a rota.
