We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Immigration Solicitor / Level 3 Immigration and Asylum Adviser (IAA Adviser) to join our vibrant legal team. Proposed Start Date: December 2026/January 2027 onwards
Salary is variable depending on experience and qualifications
Duties
- Manage and progress a varied caseload of immigration and nationality matters, ensuring cases are prepared accurately and within required deadlines.
- Draft and review visa applications, representations, legal submissions, cover letters, witness statements and other supporting documentation.
- Review client documentation and evidence to identify any gaps, inconsistencies or potential issues before submission.
- Conduct legal research on complex immigration matters and provide clear, practical advice on relevant Immigration Rules, Home Office guidance and case law.
- Assess the merits and legal requirements of cases and assist in developing appropriate case strategies.
- Prepare and review responses to Home Office correspondence, requests for further information and other case-related enquiries.
- Liaise closely with relevant team members regarding the preparation and progression of files, providing guidance and identifying any outstanding work or evidence required.
- Carry out a final review of files prior to submission to ensure applications and supporting documentation are complete, accurate and appropriately prepared.
- Liaise with and obtain approval from the Principal Solicitor/Director on files as required prior to submission, particularly in relation to complex matters or cases requiring further strategic input.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive case records, attendance notes and correspondence on the firm's case management system.
- Monitor case deadlines, Home Office correspondence and outstanding evidence to ensure matters are progressed efficiently.
- Provide technical and legal support to other members of the team on immigration matters where required.
- Keep up to date with changes to immigration legislation, the Immigration Rules, Home Office guidance and relevant case law.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with the firm's procedures, professional obligations and regulatory requirements.
- Undertake limited client communication where necessary to obtain information, clarify instructions or provide case updates, while primarily operating in a back-of-house capacity.
Requirements
- Qualified solicitor (minimum 3y PQE) or Level 3 IAA Adviser with relevant accreditation or registration.
- Proven experience handling immigration cases with a strong understanding of current legislation.
- Excellent advocacy skills to advocate effectively on behalf of clients.
- Strong communication skills for clear client interactions and detailed report writing.
- Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Demonstrated commitment to ethical practice and client confidentiality.
- A proactive attitude with the motivation to stay informed on evolving immigration policies.
- Able to work closely within a team and independently where required.

Pay: £29,000.00-£53,000.00 per year
