Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our vibrant culinary team. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist in the organisation and setup of the kitchen before service
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations throughout shifts
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations
- Monitor ingredient stock levels and notify management of shortages or expiry dates
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently, including proper handling of equipment and utensils
- Support meal presentation to meet the establishment’s visual standards
- Assist with additional kitchen duties as required during busy periods
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or catering environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal presentation and cleanliness
- Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members
- Flexibility to adapt to varying shift patterns, including weekends and evenings if necessary
- Previous experience serving or working in a customer-facing role is advantageous but not essential
- A genuine passion for culinary arts and continuous learning in food preparation techniques
