Cyber Essentials Assessor
Location: Remote
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Cyber Essentials Assessor to join our growing security team. This is a hands-on role responsible for delivering Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus assessments, evaluating clients' security posture and providing clear, actionable recommendations to improve their cyber resilience.
Working primarily through our highly regarded and innovative assessment portal, you will manage assessments from initial engagement through to completion, working closely with clients to understand their environments, identify areas of risk and ensure assessments are completed to the required standards.
This is a remote role with occasional travel to client sites and provides an excellent opportunity to work across a diverse range of organisations and industries, while developing your broader cybersecurity skills.
What you'll be doing
Work directly with clients to understand their technical environments, gather evidence and provide clear guidance throughout the assessment process.
Review security controls, identify vulnerabilities and areas of non-compliance, and provide practical, actionable recommendations to improve clients' security posture.
Manage assessments through our assessment portal, maintaining accurate records, evidence and documentation and ensuring high-quality, consistent delivery.
Prepare clear and professional assessment reports, communicating technical findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Contribute to the ongoing development of our assessment processes, tools and methodologies, while supporting the wider security consultancy team.
What are we looking for
We're looking for an experienced Cyber Essentials Assessor with strong technical knowledge and excellent communication skills. You will be confident conducting assessments independently, working directly with clients and applying Cyber Essentials requirements to a wide range of technical environments.
You should be comfortable assessing security controls, challenging existing practices where appropriate and translating technical findings into practical recommendations that clients can understand and implement.

Desirable
Experience conducting assessments across a diverse range of clients, industries and technical environments.
A degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology or a related discipline.
