Job Title: Powder Coating OperativeJob Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Powder Coating Operative to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for loading products onto the powder coating line, applying powder coatings to the required quality standards, and packing finished products ready for dispatch. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to health and safety procedures, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesLoading and Preparation
- Load components and products onto the powder coating conveyor line.
- Inspect items prior to coating to ensure they are clean and free from defects.
- Prepare products for coating in accordance with production requirements.
- Ensure correct handling and positioning of parts to achieve optimum coating coverage.
Powder Coating
- Apply powder coating
- Monitor coating thickness, coverage, and finish quality.
- Adjust spray settings as required to maintain product quality.
- Identify and report any quality issues or equipment faults.
- Maintain a clean and organised spray booth and work area.
Packing and Dispatch
- Inspect finished products for quality and compliance with specifications.
- Carefully pack coated products to prevent damage during transportation.
- Label and prepare products for storage or dispatch.
- Complete production and quality records as required.
General Duties
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures.
- Carry out routine cleaning and basic maintenance of equipment.
- Assist with stock movement and material handling when required.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by management.
Skills and Experience
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Good organisational skills and a positive work ethic.
- Ability to follow work instructions and health and safety procedures.
- Physically fit and capable of handling products safely.
- Previous experience in powder coating, paint spraying, or a manufacturing environment.
