Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Responsible Individual to oversee the quality of care within our Children's care home environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and personalised care of residents, particularly those children with emotional and behavioural difficulty. This position offers an opportunity to lead a team of care professionals, implement care plans, and uphold the highest standards of service delivery. The role is essential in maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and fostering a supportive atmosphere for residents and staff alike.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations within the care home, ensuring all children in our care home receive appropriate and compassionate care.
- Supervise and support care staff, providing leadership and guidance to promote best practices in senior and dementia care.
- Develop, review, and implement personalised care plans tailored to individual needs, including medication administration where applicable.
- Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and industry standards.
- Ensure accurate documentation of Children progress, incidents, and medication records in accordance with legal requirements.
- Facilitate effective communication between residents, families, staff, and external healthcare professionals.
- Lead training sessions and professional development initiatives for team members to maintain high standards of care.
- Manage medication protocols safely and responsibly, adhering to all relevant legislation.
- Promote a positive environment that encourages independence whilst providing necessary support for Children with EBD.
Experience
- Proven experience in assisted living or nursing home environments specialising in senior or dementia care.
- Strong background in managing or supervising teams within a healthcare or residential setting.
- Knowledge of care planning processes, medication administration procedures, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience in caring for Children with EBD is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff whilst maintaining high standards of person-centred care..
