Part Time Housekeeping Supervisor - Aston Hall Hotel
We are seeking an energetic and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our cleaning team and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. In this role, you will oversee daily housekeeping operations, coordinate staff activities, and maintain a welcoming environment for all guests. Built in 1772 and rich in history, Aston Hall Hotel has been beautifully restored to combine timeless character with contemporary style. Set within 55 acres of stunning gardens and meadowland, our hotel offers a luxurious retreat just outside Sheffield, only one minute from Junction 31 of the M1 and on the doorstep of the Peak District.
Our facilities include a 50 bedroom hotel, Darcy's Restaurant, Byron's Lounge Bar, and Church View, our luxury four bedroom residence available for exclusive hire. We also host conferences, weddings, and corporate events, making every day unique and rewarding.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping activities, ensuring timely completion of cleaning tasks across all areas
- Train, motivate, and evaluate housekeeping staff to uphold cleanliness standards and promote teamwork
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas.
- Manage inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed to maintain operational efficiency
- Communicate effectively with team members, guests, and other departments to address needs or resolve issues promptly
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and sanitation regulations at all times
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by implementing best practices for cleaning procedures and customer service
- Clean and prepare guest bedrooms and public areas to the highest standards.
- Carry out a range of cleaning duties, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing.
- Inspect rooms to ensure they meet hotel quality standards.
- Respond to guest requests professionally and courteously.
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and guest consumables.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies.
About You
- Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is essential.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work efficiently in a busy environment.
- Friendly, professional, and able to work well as part of a team.
- Flexible and available to work shifts on an as needed basis, including weekends and bank holidays.
