Role Purpose
To provide high-quality, compassionate, and person-centred care and support to individuals in their own homes, promoting independence, dignity, choice, and wellbeing while ensuring safety at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver person-centred care and support to service users in their own homes in line with individual care plans.
- Support individuals with personal care, daily living tasks, mobility, nutrition, hydration, and medication (where trained and authorised).
- Promote independence, dignity, privacy, and respect in all aspects of care.
- Safeguard the health, safety, and wellbeing of service users, yourself, and others while working in the community and as a lone worker.
- Identify, report, and record any changes in a service user’s physical, emotional, or mental wellbeing to senior staff.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and risk assessments, including:
- Safeguarding adults
- Medication management
- Health & Safety
- Infection prevention and control
- Confidentiality and data protection (GDPR)
- Maintain accurate and timely care records, including daily notes and incident reporting.
- Communicate effectively with service users, families, colleagues, and healthcare professionals.
- Participate in mandatory and ongoing training, supervisions, and appraisals.
- Support the induction and shadowing of new staff where required.
- Attend team meetings and briefings as requested.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as required to ensure the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of service users.
Job Types: Part-time, Temp to perm, Zero hours contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: £12.85-£14.50 per hour
