Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Roofer/Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves working on various roofing projects and supporting general labour tasks across different sites. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, reliable, and eager to develop their skills within the construction industry. All positions are paid, including internships, offering valuable hands-on experience in a professional environment.
Duties
- Assisting with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems using hand tools and power tools
- Reading and interpreting schematics and technical drawings to ensure accurate work execution
- Operating welding equipment and fabricating materials as required for specific projects
- Supporting carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and other construction-related tasks on-site
- Heavy lifting of materials such as roofing sheets, timber, and other building supplies
- Assisting with site preparation, clean-up, and safety checks to maintain a secure working environment
- Using hand tools and power tools efficiently to complete assigned tasks
- Supporting fabrication processes including cutting, shaping, and assembling materials
Experience
- Previous experience in construction or roofing is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Familiarity with schematics, welding techniques, carpentry, masonry, plumbing or fabrication is desirable
- Experience with heavy lifting and the use of hand tools and power tools is beneficial
- A proactive attitude towards learning new skills within the construction industry is highly valued
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions are required
