Duties:
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials according to specifications
- Assemble and join materials using nails, screws, staples, or adhesives
- Install cabinets, shelves, doors, and other wooden fixtures
- Repair or replace damaged furniture or structures
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Skills:
- Proficient in carpentry techniques and tools
- Knowledge of different types of wood and their uses
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience with heavy lifting and working with hand tools
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems for installation purposes
- Familiarity with masonry work for construction projects
- Ability to fabricate and assemble wooden structures
- Knowledge of roofing techniques for installation or repair projects
- Experience with painting and finishing techniques
