Orchard House Residential Care Home – Barton Seagrave, Kettering
Orchard House Residential Care Home is looking to recruit two reliable and hardworking Housekeepers to join our friendly and supportive team.
Orchard House is a well-established 33-bed residential care home providing care and support for older people, including those living with dementia. We pride ourselves on creating a warm, welcoming, family atmosphere where residents feel truly at home.
We are seeking individuals who take pride in their work, have a good eye for detail, and are committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the home.
The Role
As a Housekeeper, you will play an important role in ensuring our residents enjoy a clean, safe, comfortable, and homely environment.
Duties will include:
- Cleaning residents' bedrooms, bathrooms and communal areas
- Laundry duties, including washing, drying, ironing and putting away clothing
- Making and changing beds
- Deep cleaning rooms and communal areas as required
- Maintaining cleaning schedules and records
- Replenishing cleaning supplies and stock
- Following infection prevention and control procedures
- Working closely with colleagues to maintain a welcoming environment for residents and visitors
Previous care home or housekeeping experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Available Positions
Position 1 – Approximately 24 hours per week
Week 1:
- Monday: 8:00am – 3:00pm
- Friday: 8:00am – 3:00pm
- Sunday: 9:00am – 2:00pm
Week 2:
- Monday: 9:00am – 2:00pm
- Saturday: 8:00am – 3:00pm
- Sunday: 8:00am – 3:00pm
Position 2 – Approximately 21 hours per week
Week 1:
- Thursday: 8:00am – 3:00pm
- Saturday: 8:00am – 3:00pm
- Sunday: 8:00am – 3:00pm
Week 2:
- Tuesday: 9:00am – 2:00pm
- Thursday: 8:00am – 3:00pm
- Friday: 8:00am – 3:00pm
Please note that working patterns may vary from time to time to meet the needs of the service. Flexibility is therefore required.
