The Role – Pastry Commis Chef
As a Pastry Commis Chef,you will support the pastry team in delivering refined,high-quality desserts while building your technical skills in a structured and supportive kitchen.
This Pastry Commis Chef role is ideal for someone ambitious,detail-driven,and eager to grow within a premium hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and plating of pastry and dessert dishes to the highest standards

Support daily mise en place and organisation within the pastry section

Follow recipes and guidance from senior chefs with precision

Maintain cleanliness and organisation at all times

Ensure compliance with HACCP and food safety standards

Support the team during busy service periods while maintaining consistency

Assist with stock rotation and minimising food waste
Requirements & Skills
-
Previous experience as a Pastry Commis Chef or Commis Chef in a professional kitchen preferred

Genuine passion for pastry and modern dessert techniques

Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Positive attitude and strong team ethic

Basic understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety
