Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly and guide them through menus, offering recommendations to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS (Point of Sale) systems, ensuring timely delivery
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service area, including tables, bar counters, and storage spaces
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and health regulations at all times
- Manage multiple tables or bar stations effectively through excellent time management skills
- Assist in setting up and closing down the restaurant or bar area, including restocking supplies and cleaning
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
- Knowledge of food safety practices and serving procedures is advantageous
- Strong time management skills to handle busy periods smoothly
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests and team members
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- A friendly, energetic attitude with a genuine interest in providing outstanding customer service
- Familiarity with hospitality standards such as serving techniques and customer engagement strategies
