About the Role:
We are looking for a Health and Safety Adviser to help maintain safe, compliant and well-controlled working environments across engineering and industrial operations. You will work closely with operational teams to identify risks, improve workplace procedures and ensure safety standards are consistently maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out workplace inspections, risk assessments and safety audits.
- Identify hazards and recommend practical corrective actions.
- Support the development and review of health and safety policies and procedures.
- Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses and prepare reports.
- Monitor compliance with UK health and safety legislation and industry standards.
- Provide guidance to managers and employees on safe working practices.
- Deliver safety briefings, inductions and toolbox talks.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, training and corrective actions.
- Assist with emergency preparedness and workplace safety procedures.
- Work with engineering and operational teams to improve safety performance.
- Monitor contractors and ensure appropriate safety requirements are followed.
What We Are Looking For:
- Previous experience in health and safety, compliance or an industrial environment.
- Good knowledge of UK workplace health and safety regulations.
- Experience conducting risk assessments and workplace inspections.
- Strong investigation, reporting and organisational skills.
- Confident communication skills with the ability to advise employees and management.
- NEBOSH, IOSH or another relevant health and safety qualification is advantageous.
- Practical understanding of engineering, construction or industrial working environments is desirable.
Pay: £34,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
