The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, practical, and reliable Facilities & Site Maintenance Technician to join our team.
This is a varied, hands-on role responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, repair, and upkeep of our site. As we are a busy animal boarding facility, we are looking for someone who is happy to work as part of the wider team. While the primary focus of the role is maintenance, there will be occasions when the successful candidate will be expected to assist colleagues with general operational tasks during particularly busy periods. Flexibility and a willingness to support the team are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of:
- Kennels, cattery, and main buildings
- Pedestrian and vehicle access areas throughout the site, including paths, corridors, driveways, and adjacent roadside areas
- Site perimeter fencing, internal fencing, and gates
- Steel-welded mesh kennel fronts and internal doors
- Gutters, drains, and kennel washout systems
- Emergency repairs to kennels and catteries resulting from damage
- Grass cutting of fields, paddocks, and roadside verges
- Internal and external painting and decorating as required
- General site maintenance to ensure the premises remain safe, tidy, and fully compliant with licensing standards
What We're Looking For:
- Experience in general building maintenance, repairs, or a similar facilities role
- Practical problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
- A proactive approach and excellent attention to detail
- Good physical fitness and willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- A flexible, can-do attitude with the ability to support the wider team when required
- Full UK driving licence
Pay: £14.00-£17.00 per hour
