Duties
- Conduct vehicle repairs including panel straightening, dent removal, and paint preparation
- Use specialised hand tools and power tools to carry out repairs efficiently and accurately
- Assess vehicle damage and determine the necessary repair procedures
- Perform heavy lifting when required, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
- Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members to complete repairs within specified timeframes
- Conduct quality checks on repaired vehicles before returning them to customers
- Keep detailed records of repairs carried out on each vehicle
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with an understanding of automotive systems and repair techniques
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, and chisels
- Experience with power tools including sanders, grinders, and drills
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, handling vehicle parts or equipment weighing up to 25kg or more
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure high-quality repairs
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills to work collaboratively within a team environment
