Complex care PA/Carer
Part time or Full time hours position available. MUST be willing to work days and waking nights. Immediate start.
Hours vary and shifts include variations of the following-
06.00-18.00 day shifts (Monday - Friday term time) 08.00-17.00 non term time and weekends when required.
20.00 - 06.30 and 20.30-08.30 waking night shifts
We’re recruiting for a dedicated, compassionate, caring and flexible day and waking nightshift Personal Assistant to join our small skilled team to provide care to our 17 year old daughter. You will support at her home, college, holidays abroad and many more places. This position involves working away from home for periods to support on holidays abroad, it is an essential aspect of the role.
She is a bright, determined and able young person who is living with a medical condition that requires close monitoring but minimal intervention. She is active, funny and lives life to the full.
Experience of working in a similar role is essential to join our team. We provide full person-centred training specific to our daughters needs. We are looking for people who have excellent communication skills and can work effectively and fairly within in a team as well being confident working 1:1 and 2:1.
In addition to clinical skills we need you to use British Sign Language as daughter is a Deaf British Sign Language user. Full accredited British Sign Language training is provided and funded whilst working with us.
Tasks include but not limited to;
Gastrostomy
Medication Management
Nebuliser, ventilation, Oxygen/Saturation Monitoring
Tracheostomy care
Essential requirements:
- Availability to work day 06.00-18.00 and waking nights 20.00-06.30 or 20.30-08.30
- Must drive and have access to car to get to a from work and be willing to drive motability vehicle.
- Provide support/care away from home for periods of time eg holidays abroad etc.
We are a non smoking, non vape job.
