About the Role:
London is one of the world’s leading centres for technology, finance and digital innovation, and at SAL Technology Solutions Ltd, we turn complex business challenges into practical and scalable technology products. We work with organisations that need reliable software, modern digital platforms and better ways to serve their customers.
We are looking for a Principal Product Manager who can take ownership of the strategy and direction of our digital product portfolio. You will work closely with engineering, design, commercial and client teams to identify valuable opportunities and turn them into products that deliver measurable results.
This is not a role focused solely on managing backlogs or attending meetings. You will define product priorities, influence investment decisions and ensure that customer needs remain central throughout the development process.
Why Work With Us?
The Environment:
Our London office is based in Canary Wharf, providing a professional and well-connected working environment. We support focused collaboration while giving experienced professionals the independence needed to deliver their best work.
Product Influence:
You will have a meaningful voice in product strategy and business planning. Your recommendations will help determine what we build, why we build it and how we measure success.
Cross Functional Collaboration:
You will work alongside experienced software engineers, data specialists, designers and commercial stakeholders. Our teams value clear communication, practical decision-making and shared accountability.
Professional Growth:
You will receive support for relevant training, professional certifications and industry conferences that strengthen your product leadership and technical knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy:
Define and maintain the product vision, roadmap and strategic priorities for assigned digital products and platforms.
Customer Discovery:
Conduct interviews, workshops and market research to understand customer needs, operational challenges and commercial opportunities.
Roadmap Ownership:
Prioritise product initiatives based on customer value, business impact, technical feasibility and available resources.
Cross Functional Leadership:
Guide engineering, design, data and commercial teams through product discovery, development, launch and continuous improvement.
Requirements Definition:
Translate business and customer needs into clear product requirements, acceptance criteria and measurable outcomes.
Performance Management:
Establish product success measures and use customer feedback, operational data and commercial performance to guide future decisions.
Stakeholder Management:
Present product recommendations, delivery progress and strategic trade-offs to senior stakeholders, clients and internal decision-makers.
Risk Management:
Identify product, technical and operational risks early and work with relevant teams to develop practical mitigation plans.
Team Development:
Support and mentor Product Managers and Business Analysts by sharing product management frameworks, reviewing work and encouraging consistent delivery standards.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience:
At least 7 years of experience in product management, digital transformation or technology consulting, including experience leading complex software or platform initiatives.
Product Leadership:
Demonstrated experience defining product strategies, managing roadmaps and influencing cross-functional teams without relying solely on direct authority.
Commercial Awareness:
A strong understanding of customer value, pricing considerations, market positioning and the commercial impact of product decisions.
Technical Understanding:
Comfort working with software engineering teams and discussing APIs, cloud platforms, data integrations, system architecture and product delivery constraints.
Analytical Skills:
The ability to interpret product metrics, customer behaviour and operational data to support evidence-based decision-making.
Communication:
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to present recommendations and explain complex decisions to technical and non-technical audiences.
Tools:
Experience using product and delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Productboard, Miro or similar platforms.
Mindset:
You are commercially aware, customer-focused and comfortable making decisions when information is incomplete. You know when further discovery is required and when the team needs a clear decision to move forward.
Pay: £8,454.00-£10,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
