Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Housekeeper to oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of our facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing cleaning staff, ensuring high standards of hygiene, and maintaining a safe and organised environment. Previous experience in commercial cleaning, janitorial services, or hospital settings is highly desirable. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily cleaning operations across all designated areas
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules to ensure consistent hygiene standards
- Train and mentor cleaning staff, fostering a culture of excellence and attention to detail
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Manage stock levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary
- Liaise with management to address any cleaning-related issues or special requirements
- Ensure all cleaning activities are performed efficiently, effectively, and in accordance with organisational policies
- Maintain accurate records of cleaning routines, staff attendance, and supplies
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning, janitorial services, or hospital environments
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning operations
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules
