A new 12-month contract opportunity with a leading energy company based in Kingswells for a G&A Accountant. You will ideally have previous experience of working in upstream oil and gas, within a similar role. Flexible and hybrid working available.

- Providing G&A reporting, budgets and forecasts to support budget holders in achieving business objectives
Main duties and responsibilities
- Maintaining G&A master-data and allocation cycles
- Provide support for transactional data entry to finance ledger
- Prepare and book monthly G&A journals, including accruals and prepayments
- Manage the completion and accuracy of timewriting and manhour rates
- Responsible for integrity of financial records for G&A expenditure and allocations
- Prepare and issue monthly budget holder reports and any ad hoc analysis as required
- Attend quarterly meetings with budget holders to ensure accurate forecasting and projected allocations
- Assist HR with headcount reporting
- Provide time writing and allocations analysis from G&A cascade model
- Supporting preparation plan and forecast data for G&A
- Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Support internal and external audits
Applicants to this role require
- Degree and part or qualified accountant of recognised body ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent with appropriate industry experience
- Good knowledge of upstream oil and gas G&A accounting
- Excellent experience with proven track record
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience of Finance systems
- Strong MS Office skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and adept at interacting with individuals at all levels in the organisation
