Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Head of Retrofit to lead our retrofit division and play a key role in the successful delivery of multiple funded retrofit programmes.
The Role
As Head of Retrofit, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of our retrofit team, ensuring projects are delivered in full compliance with PAS 2030/2035, TrustMark, MCS (where applicable), and client-specific requirements.
You will lead and support grow our team of Retrofit Coordinators, Retrofit Assessors and Retrofit Designers while working closely with operational, commercial and compliance teams to ensure exceptional quality and customer outcomes.
This is a leadership position requiring excellent technical knowledge, strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to managing compliance across multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop the Retrofit department.
- Lead, mentor and support Retrofit Coordinators, Designers and Assessors.
- Ensure compliance with PAS 2030, PAS 2035, TrustMark and Warm Homes funding requirements.
- Oversee retrofit risk management and ensure appropriate retrofit pathways are followed.
- Review retrofit documentation and ensure evidence packs meet audit standards.
- Monitor programme performance, quality, compliance and delivery KPIs.
- Work closely with clients, Retrofit Advisors, contractors and internal operational teams.
- Support mobilisation of new retrofit contracts.
- Manage internal audits and prepare for external audits.
- Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and maintain best practice.
- Keep the business up to date with industry guidance, standards and legislative changes.
- Assist with technical queries and provide support to wider business departments where required.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in a Retrofit Manager or similar leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of PAS 2030 and PAS 2035.
- Experience delivering Warm Homes or other government-funded retrofit programmes.
- Experience managing Retrofit Coordinators, Designers and/or Assessors.
- Excellent understanding of retrofit compliance and quality assurance.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Level 5 Diploma in Retrofit Coordination and Risk Management.
- MCIOB (Member of the Chartered Institute of Building) or equivalent professional membership.
- Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA).
- Additional retrofit, construction or building services qualifications would be advantageous.
Pay: From £55,000.00 per year
