Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Care Team Leader to oversee and coordinate care services within a care home environment at Melrose House Care Home In Southend on-sea. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, and maintaining effective communication with residents, families, and healthcare professionals. Duties
- Lead and supervise a team of care assistants, ensuring the delivery of compassionate and professional care.
- Develop, implement, and review personalised care plans tailored to each resident’s needs.
- Monitor daily operations within the care home, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Provide guidance and support to staff members, fostering a positive team environment through effective leadership.
- Coordinate training sessions and ongoing professional development for team members.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Assist with organising schedules, delegating tasks, and managing staff rotas.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to resident care and staff activities using IT systems.
- Support residents with activities of daily living whilst promoting independence where possible.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all residents by adhering to policies and procedures.
Skills
- Proven supervising experience within a senior care or care home setting.
- Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills to motivate and guide team members.
- Experience in developing and managing personalised care plans for diverse needs.
- Ability to utilise IT systems effectively for documentation and reporting purposes.
- Valid driving licence is desirable for facilitating transportation or external appointments.
- Knowledge of senior care practices, health & safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
- Compassionate approach with a genuine commitment to providing high-quality resident care.
Pay: £14.00-£14.50 per hour
