Job Summary
We are a quality focused, fast-growing commercial laundry based in London, dedicated to providing bespoke linen and garment care for luxury restaurants and elite hospitality venues. To support our 2026 expansion, we are seeking a motivated Production Leader.
You will manage the daily operations of our shop floor, ensuring that our commitment to reliability, quality, and efficiency is met at every stage of the production cycle.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate a dedicated team of laundry operatives, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Workflow Optimization: Coordinate seamless transitions between departments to maximize daily output and meet strict client deadlines.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous quality checks on linen and garments to ensure they meet the exacting standards of our luxury hospitality partners.
- Technical Support: Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues and promptly report machine faults or production delays to the Production Manager.
- Compliance: Enforce strict Health & Safety protocols and company procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Reporting: Maintain precise records of production output and staff performance, reporting discrepancies to management.
- Training: Lead the onboarding and development of new team members, ensuring a high standard of skill across the floor.
- Hands-on Support: Step into production tasks when necessary to ensure targets are achieved during peak periods.
Requirements
- Experience: Prior experience in a commercial laundry environment is highly desirable. Experience in high-volume production or manufacturing is essential.
- Communication: Excellent standard of English (written and verbal) with strong active listening skills.
- Technical Skills: IT literate; able to use production tracking software and digital reporting tools.
- Leadership: Proven ability to organize self and others, make quick decisions, and engage teams positively.
- Mindset: A "can-do" attitude with high attention to detail and a flexible approach to shift work.
- Availability: Must be flexible to work rotating shifts, including weekends.
