Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing personalised support to children and young people within a residential setting. Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support to children and young people in accordance with individual care plans.
- Support residents in participating in educational, recreational, and social activities to promote development and independence.
- Maintain clear communication with colleagues, families, and external professionals regarding residents’ progress and needs.
- Drive residents safely to appointments or activities when necessary.
- Monitor behavioural patterns and report any concerns or incidents promptly following organisational procedures.
- Contribute to creating a warm, welcoming environment that encourages positive relationships and personal growth.
- Keep accurate records of support provided and update care plans as required.
Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people is highly desirable.
- Valid driving licence and the ability to drive residents safely are essential.
- Knowledge of childcare practices and experience in implementing care plans is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with residents, families, and team members.
- Proficiency in IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes.
- Compassionate nature with strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- A recognised qualification in childcare or social care is preferred but not essential; relevant experience will be considered favourably.

Pay: £13.50-£14.50 per hour
