Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 2 Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high standards of customer service. Responsibilities
- Operate a flatbed HGV Class 2 lorry in compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies
- Deliver goods to designated locations across the region, ensuring accurate and timely deliveries
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any defects or issues promptly
- Secure loads appropriately using suitable equipment to prevent movement during transit
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with legal requirements
- Adhere to scheduled routes and delivery times, adjusting plans as necessary to meet deadlines
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse teams regarding delivery status or any issues encountered
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 licence with relevant driving experience, preferably with flatbed operation experience
- Proven commercial driving experience, particularly in delivery roles
- Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for secure load handling
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during daily routes
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude towards customers and colleagues
- Ability to undertake manual handling tasks associated with securing loads on flatbeds
- A clean driving licence with no serious endorsements or penalties
