Provide personalised companionship and emotional support, fostering engaging conversations and activities tailored to individual interests.
Assist clients with personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, whilst always maintaining dignity and promoting independence.
Support with medication reminders and administration, strictly adhering to individual care plans and safety protocols.
Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light household duties to ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment.
Facilitate outings, appointments, and social engagements, promoting independence and community involvement.
Accurately record and report on client well-being, any changes to their condition, and tasks completed, ensuring clear communication within the care team.
Be available to cover visits at short notice during your agreed availability, contributing to the continuity and reliability of care for our clients.
A genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of older adults, coupled with an empathetic and patient approach.
Full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle (essential for travelling between client homes).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build rapport with clients and their families.
Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic ensuring consistent and dependable support.
Availability to work alternative weekends and be flexible to cover visits at short notice during your contracted hours.
The legal right to work in the UK.
Willingness to complete comprehensive, paid induction training provided by Home Instead, regardless of prior experience.
Previous experience in a care-giving role (personal or professional) is advantageous but not essential, as full training is provided.
An understanding of the principles of person-centred care and how to apply them.
Competitive salaried rate of £13.3 - £28.6 per hour.
