We are currently looking for a dedicated and reliable Permanent Cleaning Operative to join our team at a professional veterinary clinic in Twickenham (TW1).
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining exceptionally high hygiene standards and enjoys working in a professional environment. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring the clinic remains clean, safe, and welcoming for staff, clients, and animals.
Previous experience in commercial, healthcare, or clinical cleaning is highly desirable.
Duties
- Carry out thorough cleaning of clinical rooms, treatment areas, consultation rooms, and work surfaces.
- Clean and disinfect operating tables, equipment areas, and high-touch surfaces in accordance with hygiene procedures.
- Hoover, mop, and steam clean floors throughout the premises.
- Clean reception areas, offices, staff kitchen, toilets, shower facilities, and communal spaces.
- Empty general waste and recycling bins and ensure waste is disposed of correctly.
- Restock cleaning consumables where required.
- Follow all health and safety, COSHH, and infection control procedures.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or health and safety concerns to management.
- Maintain exceptionally high cleaning standards at all times.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of professional cleaning experience in the UK.
- Previous experience in commercial, healthcare, clinical, or specialist cleaning environments.
- Good understanding of hygiene and infection control practices.
- Good English communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleaning standards.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional with a positive attitude.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Experience using steam cleaning equipment is an advantage.
Important Information
This role is based within a veterinary clinic. Applicants must be comfortable working around animals and must not have pet allergies or a fear of animals.
