Here at Riverside House care home in Wick Caithness , We are seeking a part time dedicated Laundry Assistant to join our team.
20 hours per week worked over 4 days
Hours can be discussed to suit
Paid training
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organisation of laundry services within the home.
Duties
- Collect, sort, and process laundry items such as bed linens, towels, and personal clothing
- Operate laundry equipment including washers, dryers, rotary iron and steamer
- Ensure all laundry is cleaned efficiently and to the highest standards of hygiene and presentation
- Fold, iron, and organise clean linen
- Maintain cleanliness of laundry areas, including work surfaces and equipment
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience is preferred but not essential
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Physically fit to handle lifting and standing for extended periods
- Flexibility to work shifts as required
- A positive attitude and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and service
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.71 per hour
