Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista/all rounder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality coffee beverages. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of coffee and food items in a fast-paced environment, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all customers. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining food safety standards, managing orders efficiently, and contributing to the overall positive experience of our patrons. Our opening hours are 9:00 - 3:30 Monday to Saturday.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks, adhering to company recipes and standards.
- Assist customers with menu selections, answer queries, and provide exceptional service to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks as required.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and dining spaces in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Manage cash register operations, process payments accurately, and handle transactions efficiently.
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts.
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently, including proper food handling procedures.
- Demonstrate effective time management to serve customers promptly during busy periods.
Experience
- Previous experience as a coffee Barista or in a similar customer service role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Knowledge of food safety standards is beneficial.
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is advantageous.
- Basic skills in food preparation are desirable.
- Ability to perform basic maths accurately for handling cash transactions.
