Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and experienced Dental Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations of our implant dental clinic. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring excellent patient care, and maintaining the financial health of the practice. This role offers an opportunity to lead a dedicated team within a professional and patient-focused environment. The ideal applicant will possess strong management skills, supervisory experience, and a background in dentistry/healthcare management, with additional knowledge of human resources and financial management.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support dental practice staff, including receptionists, dental assistants, and hygienists
- Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth workflow and high standards of patient care
- Manage appointment scheduling, patient records, and compliance with health and safety regulations
- Handle financial tasks such as billing, invoicing, budgeting, and expense control
- Recruit, train, and evaluate staff performance to foster a motivated and efficient team
- Implement policies and procedures to optimise practice efficiency and patient satisfaction
- Maintain compliance with legal requirements and industry standards
- Coordinate human resources activities including staff scheduling, leave management, and conflict resolution
- Develop strategies for practice growth and community engagement
Requirements
- Proven supervisory experience within a healthcare or dental setting
- Strong management skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively
- Knowledge of financial management principles relevant to healthcare practices
- Experience in human resources functions such as recruitment, training, and performance appraisals
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining high standards of service delivery
- Previous veterinary experience is advantageous but not mandatory
- Relevant qualifications in healthcare management or business administration are preferred
