We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Quality Controller working Nights Monday to Thursday 6pm-6am.
You must be reliable, conscientious, self motivated, with the ability to work on your own initiative, able to communicate professionally with good numeracy, literacy and IT skills, demonstrate a respect for our Company values and continuous improvement activities. A positive attitude to safety and quality within the work environment is essential.
Main responsibilities:-
- To operate technical machinery to shrink/ stretch wrap/ bale material as required.
- To ensure all packaging/ pallet and identification quality checks are carried out.
- Organise warehouse space and operations to ensure maximum capacity utilisation of space while ensuring the most effective running of daily operations
- To update relevant IT systems as required
- To aid/cover requirements to load and unload vehicles as directed in the safest and most efficient manner possible, as required
- To ensure general housekeeping duties are maintained to a high standard
- To carry out general yard duties
Experience:-
- Proven experience in a quality control role within a warehouse environment
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems
- Ability to operate forklifts for material handling
- Proficiency in mechanical processes related to quality control
- Experience with shipping, receiving, loading, and unloading processes
- Capability to handle heavy lifting tasks effectively
Applicants must have an up to date counterbalance fork truck certificate.
