Role Purpose
The Training & Compliance Officer (Training Focus) is responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering training programs for support workers and internal staff, ensuring they meet all regulatory, contractual, and organisational standards.
This role focuses exclusively on training, supporting compliance and operational excellence within the agency.
This role helps protect the business by ensuring staff are competent, confident, and compliant - ultimately supporting client satisfaction and retention.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and update mandatory training for support workers and internal staff, including refresher courses.
- Deliver engaging training sessions (face-to-face) in line with industry regulations and best practice.
- Maintain accurate records of staff training, certifications, and compliance requirements.
- Track and report training completion, highlighting gaps and following up to ensure compliance.
- Support audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews by providing evidence of staff training and competence.
- Identify knowledge or skill gaps and recommend improvements to training programs.
- Ensure all training materials reflect current legislation, health & safety standards, safeguarding, and best practice guidelines.
- Promote a culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous learning across the workforce.
Key Outcomes
- All staff are fully trained and compliant with relevant healthcare regulations and standards.
- Training completion and compliance metrics are maintained and reported accurately.
- Reduction in compliance risk and incidents due to knowledge gaps.
- Positive feedback from staff and clients regarding training effectiveness.
- Support for client retention and confidence through a well-trained workforce.
Skills & Experience
- Experience in training delivery, learning & development, or compliance training within healthcare or social care.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, safeguarding, and care standards (e.g., CQC requirements in the UK).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create & deliver clear, engaging, and practical training materials.
- Strong organisational skills, including record-keeping and compliance tracking.
- Ability to work independently in a part-time capacity.
