Job Summary
We are seeking motivated and diligent Shuttering Labourers/Striking to join our construction team on a project in Cardiff CF24
In this role, you will play a vital part in the assembly and dismantling of formwork used to shape concrete structures.
This is a long term role. The position offers an exciting opportunity to develop hands-on skills in various aspects of construction work while supporting the overall progress of our projects. You must have experience working with shuttering Joiners and doing Striking

Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation and removal of formwork and shuttering materials on construction sites
- Use hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment to cut, shape, and assemble formwork components
- Support team members in heavy lifting tasks to move and position materials safely
- Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a secure working environment for all personnel
- Collaborate with carpenters, masons, and other trades to ensure precise placement of shuttering structures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including proper storage of tools and materials
- Perform basic masonry tasks as needed to support formwork stability and alignment
Skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as hammers, chisels, and screwdrivers
- Experience with power tools including drills, saws, and grinders
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to assembling and adjusting formwork components
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely over extended periods
- Basic welding skills are a plus for securing certain shuttering elements
- Familiarity with roofing or masonry work is advantageous for multi-trade support roles
- CSCS Card/Full PPE is essential.
Pay: £16.00-£18.00 per hour
