Little Llamas Montessori Nursery is looking for a warm, energetic and ambitious Room Leader or Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our team.
We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with children, brings positive energy to the nursery and is ready for a new challenge.
The right person will be friendly, proactive and confident, with a willingness to take initiative, bring new ideas and continue developing professionally. You should enjoy being part of a team while also being comfortable taking responsibility and leading by example.
This position would suit an experienced Room Leader or a confident Level 3 Nursery Practitioner who is ready to take the next step in their career.
Essential Requirements
- Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above
- Strong working knowledge of the EYFS
- Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection
- Experience working within an Early Years setting
- A genuine passion for working with children
- Warm, caring and patient approach
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Confidence in observing children's development and supporting their next steps
- Reliable, organised and professional
Desirable
- Previous Room Leader or senior practitioner experience
- Knowledge or experience of SEND
- Understanding of the Early Years SENCO role
- Experience supporting children with additional needs
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a safe, caring and stimulating environment for children
- Support children's learning and development in line with the EYFS
- Observe children's progress and contribute to planning appropriate next steps
- Support children's individual needs and promote inclusive practice
- Build positive relationships with children, colleagues and families
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety and nursery procedures
- Contribute ideas and activities that support children's learning and development
- Work collaboratively with the nursery team
- Lead by example and support other practitioners where appropriate
- Help maintain a positive, organised and welcoming environment
